A Galactic Pixar Tale
Elio follows 11-year-old Elio Solis (Yonas Kibreab), a space-obsessed orphan living with his Aunt Olga (Zoe Saldaña), an army orbital analyst. After causing a power outage by chasing a mysterious radio signal, Elio is beamed to the Communiverse, an intergalactic alien assembly mistaking him for Earth’s leader. With his new friend Glordon (Remy Edgerly), a quirky alien, Elio tackles a cosmic crisis while learning about connection and courage.
Directed by Adrian Molina, Domee Shi, and Madeline Sharafian, with a script by Julia Cho, Mark Hammer, and Mike Jones, Elio blends Pixar’s stunning visuals and heartfelt storytelling. Rob Simonsen’s soundtrack adds melodic magic.
Synopsis
Elio is a space fanatic with an active imagination and a huge alien obsession. So, when he’s beamed up to the Communiverse, an interplanetary organisation with representatives from galaxies far and wide, Elio’s all in for the epic undertaking. Mistakenly identified as Earth’s leader, Elio must form new bonds with eccentric alien lifeforms, navigate a crisis of intergalactic proportions, and somehow discover who and where he is truly meant to be.
