Final Destination: Bloodlines Film Review

Finally, a story! Previous installments focused heavily on creative death scenes, but this one isn’t just about how people die. It has a narrative backbone supporting the entire film.
The plot isn’t particularly gripping, but it ties the movie together well. While watching, you’re not only anticipating new death methods but also curious about how the protagonists will try to break the death curse.
A slight drawback is the female lead—her acting feels forced in many scenes, especially when she tries to cry, which breaks immersion. The death scenes follow the series’ familiar formula, with most feeling like rehashes of what we’ve seen before. The standout is the hospital MRI scene, where the brother wasn’t supposed to die but, because he tried to cheat the death, finally it got messy.
I’d give it a 7/10. It’s worth watching in theaters, as the film feels like a complete break from the past. Not sure if there’ll be another sequel or if they’ll start a new story.
