Synopsis
In the secluded Swiss Alps, famed reclusive crime novelist Patricia Highsmith lives in solitary isolation, having long abandoned her iconic character Tom Ripley. Her quiet routine is shattered when Edward Ridgeway, an ambitious young literary agent from a New York publishing house, arrives at her doorstep with a mission to persuade her to write one final Ripley installment. Highsmith, guarded and fiercely cynical, engages in a tense, cerebral battle of wits with the young man, whose insistence gradually takes on a far more calculating and sinister edge. As secrets are exposed and hidden motives come to light, the psychological chess match between author and agent blurs the boundary between fiction and reality, leading to a dangerous game where life imitates art.
