After Life

Synopsis

In this poetic and moving Japanese film, a group of recently deceased people arrive at a way station between life and death. They are given one week to choose a single, most cherished memory from their entire existence. Once they choose, the staff of the station, using props, sets, and special effects, will recreate that memory on film, allowing them to relive it for eternity. The film is a beautiful meditation on life, memory, and what it truly means to be human.
