Synopsis

Set in a near-future Japan, All You Need Is Kill is a visceral animated retelling of the acclaimed light novel that inspired Edge of Tomorrow. The story follows Rita Vrataski, a resourceful but isolated young woman volunteering to rebuild her country following the arrival of a massive, dormant alien plant known as Darol. When the entity suddenly erupts, unleashing a horde of lethal, plant-like creatures, Rita is killed in the chaos—only to wake up at the start of the same day. Trapped in a brutal time loop where death is her only ally, she must navigate the trauma of repetition to improve her combat skills. Her lonely cycle changes when she encounters Keiji, a shy young man caught in the same temporal trap. Together, they must master the mechanics of their 'video game' reality, forging a deep bond while desperately fighting to break the loop and prevent humanity's total assimilation.
