Beauty and the Beast
Synopsis
In a quaint French village, the bright and independent Belle dreams of an adventurous life far beyond her provincial surroundings. Her world changes forever when her eccentric inventor father, Maurice, is captured by a monstrous Beast inside a secluded, enchanted castle. To save her father, Belle bravely offers her own freedom in exchange, agreeing to remain as the Beast's prisoner. Unbeknownst to her, the Beast is actually a young prince cursed by an enchantress; he must learn to love and earn love in return before the last petal of a magical rose falls, or remain a monster forever. As Belle befriends the castle's charmed, living household objects, she begins to see the warmth beneath the Beast's gruff exterior. However, her blossoming connection is threatened by Gaston, a narcissistic local hunter who is determined to marry Belle and destroy the Beast.
