Synopsis

After a former stuntman and aspiring dancer, Lang, is released from jail, he returns to his decaying hometown in rural China determined to start a new, quiet life. His plans are interrupted when he is forced to work with the local Animal Control to capture a stray, aggressive black dog. What begins as an assignment turns into a fierce, unspoken bond as the two outcasts navigate the desolate landscape, fighting their respective loneliness and the judgment of their town.
