Synopsis

Bobby Bowfinger is Hollywood's least successful producer, but he has finally found a script that he is certain will be his ticket to the big time. There is just one catch: he needs the world's biggest action star, Kit Ramsey, to lead the cast. When Ramsey rejects the role, the desperate Bowfinger decides to film the movie anyway, tracking the paranoid star and filming him in secret without his knowledge. To round out the production, Bowfinger recruits a cast of hopefuls, including a naive ingenue and a nerdy Kit Ramsey lookalike named Jiff to fill in the gaps. What follows is a chaotic and hilarious journey through the fringes of the film industry as Bowfinger uses every low-budget trick in the book to finish his masterpiece.
