Synopsis

In 2017, the sudden disappearance of Hong Kong's newly appointed Secretary for Security, M.B. Lee, sends shockwaves through the city. Desperate for answers, Commissioner of Police Sean Lau consults Senior Counsel Oswald Kan, who uncovers a long-buried classified file from 1994. The film flashes back to the final years of British rule, where the kidnapping of a powerful tycoon ignites a covert power struggle. Caught in the center are two contrasting officers: the principled M.B. Lee and the ruthlessly ambitious Peter Choi.
