Ebenezer
Synopsis
In Victorian London, cold-hearted and misanthropic moneylender Ebenezer Scrooge holds utter contempt for the Christmas season, treating charity and human warmth with bitter disdain. On a freezing Christmas Eve, seven years after the death of his business partner Jacob Marley, Scrooge is visited by Marley's tormented ghost, who warns him of the heavy chains awaiting him in the afterlife if he does not change his ways. Throughout the night, Scrooge is taken on a transformative, supernatural journey by three spirits—the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come. Guided through haunting memories of his youth, stark realities of his community's struggles, and a chilling vision of his unmourned future, Scrooge is forced to confront his past choices and fight for a second chance at redemption.
