Synopsis

A visually magnificent retelling of the Arthurian legend, John Boorman’s Excalibur captures the rise and fall of King Arthur with operatic intensity. The journey begins with the powerful wizard Merlin helping Uther Pendragon secure the throne, leading to the birth of Arthur. After pulling the legendary sword from a stone, Arthur unites the warring tribes of Britain to establish the peaceful kingdom of Camelot and the noble Knights of the Round Table.
