Synopsis

The story kicks off in a retro Los Angeles diner when a scruffy, strangely dressed man (Sam Rockwell) bursts in claiming to be a "citizen agent" from the future. His mission: to save humanity from a terminal threat posed by a rogue artificial intelligence. The catch? He’s already tried and failed this mission 117 times.

To succeed, he must recruit a precise combination of disgruntled patrons—including a techno-allergic princess (Haley Lu Richardson), two exhausted schoolteachers (Michael Peña and Zazie Beetz), and a grieving mother (Juno Temple). Together, this ragtag crew must ditch their smartphones and embark on a one-night quest through the neon-lit streets of LA to stop the apocalypse before it starts.
