Grow
Synopsis
In the self-proclaimed Pumpkin Capital of the World, stoic and no-nonsense farmer Dinah Little begrudgingly takes in her spirited, estranged niece, Charlie, from an orphanage. Charlie is no ordinary child, possessing a unique, telepathic knack for connecting with plants that helps them grow to immense proportions. With the high-stakes annual giant-pumpkin-growing contest fast approaching, Charlie sets her sights on winning the enormous cash prize. Alongside a quirky local named Arlo, she begins nurturing a pumpkin named Peter. However, the competition is fierce, and rival growers are willing to pull every dirty trick in the book, from sabotage to utilizing a genetically engineered rival plant. As Charlie works to protect her prize-winning creation, her magical bond with the crop mirrors her growing relationship with the townsfolk and her aunt. Ultimately, they discover that the real prize isn't the trophy, but the joy of family and love.
