Synopsis

Synopsis
Connor MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) is an antique dealer in modern-day New York City, but his story begins in the Scottish Highlands in 1536. After "dying" in battle and miraculously reviving, Connor is exiled by his clan, who fear he is possessed. He soon meets the flamboyant Juan Sánchez-Villalobos Ramírez (Sean Connery), an Egyptian-born swordsman who reveals their true nature: they are Immortals, a rare breed of warriors who can only be killed by decapitation.

Ramírez mentors Connor in "The Game"—a centuries-spanning tournament where Immortals duel to be the last survivor and claim "The Prize," a gift of ultimate knowledge and power. In 1985, as "The Gathering" approaches, Connor must face his greatest nightmare: The Kurgan (Clancy Brown), a sadistic barbarian who has hunted him across history. Amidst a police investigation led by forensics expert Brenda Wyatt (Roxanne Hart), Connor prepares for a final, lightning-charged showdown on the rooftops of Manhattan.
