Synopsis

In 1970s Los Angeles, drug-fueled private detective Doc Sportello's ex-girlfriend reappears with a wild story about a wealthy real estate mogul she’s in love with—and his wife’s plot to have him committed. What starts as a simple missing person's case quickly spirals into a psychedelic and paranoid odyssey through a web of surfers, stoners, shady doctors, and corrupt cops.
