Synopsis

Thirteen-year-old Kiki, an energetic witch-in-training, leaves her family and hometown behind as part of a sacred tradition requiring young witches to live independently for a year. Accompanied by her witty talking black cat Jiji, she settles in a picturesque seaside city. Hoping to make a living using her broomstick flying skills, Kiki launches a flying courier service out of a local bakery. Along the way, she makes new friends, including a flight-obsessed boy named Tombo, and learns to navigate the challenges of independence and self-reliance. However, when a sudden crisis of self-doubt causes her to lose her magical flying ability and her connection with Jiji, Kiki must overcome her insecurities, regain her confidence, and discover what it truly means to rely on her inner strength.
