Kubo and the Two Strings

Synopsis

In feudal Japan, a young boy named Kubo makes a living telling fantastical stories to local villagers using magical origami that animates at the sound of his shamisen. His peaceful existence is shattered when he accidentally summons a vengeful spirit from his family's past. On the run from terrifying evil forces, including his maternal aunts and grandfather, the Moon King, Kubo must embark on an epic quest. Joined by a protective Monkey and a goofy Beetle warrior, he sets out to locate a legendary suit of armor once worn by his late samurai father to fulfill his destiny and save his family.
