Synopsis

After a celebrated novelist, Paul Sheldon, is severely injured in a car crash, he is rescued by Annie Wilkes, his self-proclaimed "number one fan." As he recovers in her isolated home, Annie discovers the manuscript for his latest book and becomes enraged when she learns he has killed off her favorite character. What begins as a recovery turns into a terrifying fight for survival as Paul realizes his nurse is a psychopath who will stop at nothing to force him to rewrite his story.
