Synopsis
Three sisters, each leading vastly different and complicated lives, return to their childhood home to attend the third wedding of their twice-widowed mother, Diana. Georgina, a high-achieving palliative care nurse; Victoria, a Hollywood starlet; and Katherine, a Captain in the Royal Navy, find themselves squeezed back under one roof, rekindling old sibling rivalries and uncovering long-buried secrets. As the wedding weekend unfolds, the women must navigate their dysfunctional relationships with each other and their mother, while reflecting on their own romantic failures and successes. Against the backdrop of a joyous celebration, the family is forced to confront the past and determine what it truly means to move forward. Kristin Scott Thomas makes her directorial debut with this poignant and witty exploration of family dynamics, love, and the enduring bonds of sisterhood, featuring an ensemble cast that brings depth and humor to the complexities of maternal and sisterly affection.
