Synopsis

In the kinetic neo-Western thriller Normal, Bob Odenkirk stars as Ulysses, a world-weary lawman seeking a quiet life as the temporary substitute sheriff of Normal, Minnesota. Hoping to escape a history of marital strife and moral injuries sustained in the line of duty, Ulysses expects nothing more than a sleepy Midwestern assignment. However, the town's tranquil facade is shattered when a botched bank robbery uncovers a dark, deep-seated secret involving the entire community and an international criminal conspiracy. Suddenly, the very townspeople he was sworn to protect—including his own deputies—turn against him in a blood-soaked battle for survival. Forced into a violent game of cat-and-mouse through snowy car parks and local diners, Ulysses must rely on his affable mettle and hidden lethality to survive the night.
