Synopsis

Everyone said Cassie Thomas (Carey Mulligan) was a "promising young woman"—until a mysterious event abruptly derailed her future. Now thirty and living with her parents while working at a coffee shop, Cassie spends her nights leading a double life. She frequents local bars, feigning helpless intoxication to lure "nice guys" into "rescuing" her, only to confront them with their own predatory intentions when they take her home.

When a chance encounter with a former classmate, Ryan (Bo Burnham), offers her a glimpse at a normal life, Cassie’s resolve is tested. However, as the ghosts of her past resurface and the people responsible for her trauma remain unpunished, she pivots toward a final, meticulous plan for retribution. Calculated and fearless, Cassie prepares to settle the score in a way that no one—least of all her enemies—will see coming.
