Synopsis
A modern reinterpretation of Jane Austen's timeless classic, Sense and Sensibility follows the contrasting journeys of the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, after their family's sudden fall from wealth and social status. Following the death of their father, the sisters and their mother are forced to move to a modest cottage in the English countryside. Practical and emotionally restrained, Elinor quietly navigates her feelings for the reserved Edward Ferrars, while her passionately romantic younger sister, Marianne, throws herself headlong into an intense romance with the dashing John Willoughby, overlooking the steady devotion of Colonel Brandon. As heartbreaks, societal expectations, and hidden secrets threaten to dismantle their futures, both sisters must learn to balance rational sense with unrestrained sensibility to find true love and lasting happiness.
