Sleepaway Camp
Synopsis
After surviving a horrific boating accident that claimed her family years prior, a deeply traumatized and painfully shy young girl named Angela Baker is sent to live with her eccentric Aunt Martha. Along with her protective cousin Ricky, Angela is sent away for the summer to Camp Arawak. Upon arrival, the introverted and silent Angela quickly becomes a prime target for intense bullying and cruel pranks from the other camp counselors and snobbish campers alike. However, the dynamics at the camp take a terrifying turn when anyone who mistreats, threatens, or makes Angela feel uncomfortable begins meeting a gruesome, strangely poetic demise. As the bodies pile up in increasingly creative and violent ways, panic grips the summer camp, leading the frantic counselors to suspect that a deranged serial killer is loose in the woods. Robert Hiltzik's classic 1980s slasher movie delivers a dark atmosphere, psychological tension, and one of the most shocking and unforgettable twist endings in horror cinema history.
