Sleepy Hollow

Synopsis

In 1799, eccentric and pragmatic New York City police constable Ichabod Crane is dispatched to the isolated Dutch hamlet of Sleepy Hollow to investigate a series of gruesome murders. The victims have all been found decapitated, with their heads mysteriously missing from the crime scenes. Upon his arrival, the local town elders inform Ichabod that the killer is the vengeful undead apparition of a Hessian mercenary known as the Headless Horseman, who rides out from the woods to claim heads. Dismissing the ghostly tale as mere superstition, Ichabod relies on his unconventional scientific techniques and logical deduction to solve the case. However, as he digs deeper into the village's secrets and becomes enchanted by Katrina Van Tassel, the daughter of the town's wealthiest citizen, Ichabod comes face-to-face with the terrifying supernatural reality. He must uncover who controls the terrifying phantom before more innocent lives are claimed.
