Slither

Synopsis

The sleepy town of Wheelsy, South Carolina, is about to face a gruesome extraterrestrial invasion. When a meteorite crashes nearby, local wealthy resident Grant Grant becomes the first host for an alien parasite that begins to grotesquely mutate his body. As Grant develops an insatiable hunger for meat and a drive to spread his parasitic brood, the town is soon overrun by giant slugs that turn the inhabitants into mindless, hive-mind zombies. It falls to the town's Sheriff, Bill Pardy, and Grant's terrified but resilient wife, Starla, to lead a desperate resistance against the multiplying monsters. Combining dark humor with stomach-turning practical effects, Slither is a high-octane homage to classic B-movie horror and creature features. The survivors must navigate a landscape of slime and gore to stop the alien hive from consuming everything in its path before the infestation becomes permanent.
