Synopsis
After conquering cancer, 17-year-old Ivy wants nothing more than to leave her 'sick girl' identity behind. However, her well-meaning but overprotective parents have other plans, signing her up for a summer at 'Children Run Free Camp'—or as Ivy cynically calls it, 'chemo camp.' Expecting a summer of forced inspirational slogans and pitying glances, Ivy is instead thrust into a world of rebellious misfits who refuse to let their illness define them. Led by the eccentric camp president Patrick, Ivy discovers an unexpected sense of belonging, sharp-witted camaraderie, and a chance at first romance. As the weeks unfold, the camp becomes a vibrant stage for self-discovery, helping Ivy navigate the complex emotions of survival and the joy of a life reclaimed. This British coming-of-age dramedy balances biting humor with profound sincerity, proving that even in the shadow of hardship, the brightest moments are found in the connections we make.
