Synopsis

Based on the sensational stage hit of the same name, Sunshine on Leith is a vibrant and heartwarming musical featuring the anthemic songs of The Proclaimers. The story follows best friends Davy and Ally as they return to their home in Edinburgh after serving in Afghanistan. As they struggle to adjust to civilian life, the pair must navigate the complexities of romance and family. Ally hopes to settle down with Davy's sister, Liz, while Davy falls for her best friend, Yvonne. Meanwhile, their parents, Rab and Jean, are celebrating their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary until a long-hidden secret from Rab’s past threatens to tear the family apart.
