Synopsis

From the legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam, Thalapathi is a timeless crime drama and a modern-day retelling of the Indian epic Mahabharata. The film follows Surya, an abandoned child raised in a slum who rises to become a powerful and compassionate gangster. After a chance encounter, he forms a deep and unbreakable friendship with Deva, a local don. As their bond strengthens, Surya's past comes to haunt him, forcing him into a dramatic conflict that mirrors the epic battle between brothers.
