The Boxtrolls

Synopsis

In the Victorian-era town of Cheesebridge, rumors swirl about the Boxtrolls, a community of quirky, cardboard-wearing creatures who live underground and are feared as child-snatching monsters. In reality, the Boxtrolls are gentle, inventive tinkerers who have lovingly raised a human orphan named Eggs. When the villainous exterminator Archibald Snatcher plots to capture all the Boxtrolls in exchange for a coveted White Hat from the town's elite, Eggs must venture above ground to save his adoptive family. Teaming up with Winifred, the feisty daughter of the town's mayor, Eggs sets out to expose Snatcher's lies, dismantle the town's anti-Boxtroll prejudice, and prove that family is defined by love rather than appearance.
