The Boy and The Heron

Synopsis

Following his mother's tragic death during the war, a young boy named Mahito moves to the countryside with his father. Isolated and grieving, he encounters a talking gray heron, who promises him that his mother is still alive and living in a mysterious abandoned tower. Mahito enters the tower and is transported to a fantastical world, where he confronts powerful magical beings and uncovers the truth about the mysterious heron, his family's past, and his own destiny.
