Synopsis

In the sun-drenched, high-octane streets of Los Angeles, Dominic Toretto rules an underground subculture of illegal, late-night street racing, backed by a loyal crew of mechanics and adrenaline junkies. Meanwhile, a series of sophisticated, high-speed highway hijackings targeting electronics trucks puts local police and the FBI on high alert. Enter Brian O'Conner, an ambitious undercover cop who infiltrates Toretto's tight-knit racing world by posing as a custom car enthusiast working at a local performance shop. Brian quickly proves his driving skills to Dominic and finds himself falling hard for Dominic's sister, Mia. As Brian is pulled deeper into the thrill of the lifestyle and the mutual respect of his targets, he discovers a dangerous territory involving rival Asian biker gangs and mounting criminal stakes. Torn between his duty to the badge and his newfound loyalty to the street-racing family, Brian must ultimately make a costly choice when the hijacking investigation reaches a volatile, life-or-death climax on the open highway.
