Synopsis

In early 20th-century America, two young music students, Lionel and David (Paul Mescal and Josh O'Connor), fall in love before the Great War tears them apart. Reunited a few years later, they embark on a poetic, emotional journey through rural Maine, traveling together to record fading American folk songs onto wax cylinders.
