Synopsis

Kayoko Nakajima (Non) is the "most unfortunate debut author in history." Despite winning a prestigious newcomer award, her career has stalled entirely due to a scathing, public takedown by the arrogant veteran novelist Munenori Higashijujo (Kenichi Takito).

Years later, fueled by a simmering grudge, Kayoko checks into Tokyo’s legendary Hilltop Hotel—a real-life sanctuary for famous writers—for a self-imposed writing retreat. To her shock, she discovers Higashijujo is staying in the room directly above hers. Seizing the opportunity, Kayoko enlists the help of her savvy editor, Michio Endo (Kei Tanaka), to launch a series of elaborate, hilariously petty sabotages to ruin her rival’s focus. As the battle of wits escalates, Kayoko must decide if she's willing to burn down the entire literary establishment just to finally see her name in print.
