The Master

Synopsis

A restless and troubled WWII veteran finds himself adrift and without a purpose after the war. He stumbles upon a charismatic intellectual who has created "The Cause," a new philosophical movement that is rapidly gaining followers. As he becomes the man's right-hand man, the veteran is drawn into the group's strange inner workings, forcing him to confront his own deep-seated demons and the true nature of his new mentor.
