The Mist

Synopsis

Following a severe violent thunderstorm in a small Maine town, commercial artist David Drayton and his young son Billy head into the local supermarket to gather supplies. While inside, a dense, unnatural mist engulfs the area, trapping dozens of townsfolk within the building. As terror mounts, horrific bloodthirsty otherworldly monsters emerge from the fog, brutally attacking anyone who dares step outside. Inside the store, fear and paranoia escalate rapidly as religious fanatic Mrs. Carmody begins rallying terrified shoppers into an apocalyptic cult, demanding human sacrifices to appease God's wrath. Divided into factions, David leads a small group of desperate survivors in a perilous attempt to escape both the deadly creatures lurking in the fog and the growing madness within the supermarket.
