The Princess and the Frog

Synopsis

In 1920s New Orleans, Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) is a hardworking waitress who spends every waking hour saving to fulfill her late father’s dream: opening the finest restaurant in the city. Her focused life is turned upside down when she crosses paths with Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), a jazz-loving royal who has been transformed into a frog by the sinister voodoo sorcerer Dr. Facilier (Keith David).

Mistaking Tiana for a princess, Naveen convinces her to bestow a magical kiss to break the spell. However, the plan backfires—instead of turning the Prince human, Tiana is transformed into a frog herself. Stranded in the mystical Louisiana bayou, the pair must team up with a trumpet-playing alligator named Louis and a lovesick firefly named Ray to find the 197-year-old voodoo priestess Mama Odie. Together, they embark on a hilarious and perilous adventure to find the true meaning of "what you need" versus "what you want."
