Synopsis

For over ten years, elderly grandmother Kam Mui-day has faithfully tasked her granddaughter, Sunnie Lam Tin-ching, with buying lottery tickets using the exact same lucky numbers. Disaster strikes during a massive Chinese New Year jackpot draw when Sunnie forgets to place the bet, only for those exact numbers to win the grand prize of 88.88 million. Devastated and desperate to protect her grandmother from heartbreak, Sunnie enlists the help of her movie-set colleague Jay. Together, they borrow a luxurious film-set villa and pretend Sunnie purchased it with the winning jackpot. Moving her entire estranged family into the opulent estate, Sunnie watches as the shared living space unexpectedly rekindles their fractured relationships and brings warmth back into their lives. However, maintaining the grand illusion proves increasingly difficult as comical misunderstandings mount, eventually threatening to expose the well-intentioned lie.
