Synopsis
In the autumn of 1943, Rosa Sauer is forced into a harrowing role as one of the women tasked with tasting Adolf Hitler’s food at the Wolf's Lair. In a secret bunker in East Prussia, ten women are chosen to eat the Führer’s meals before he does, knowing every bite could be their last. As the war intensifies and the group becomes a microcosm of a collapsing society, Rosa finds herself entangled in a web of shifting loyalties, forbidden romances, and the suffocating weight of complicity. The Tasters is a gripping historical drama that delves into the psychological toll of survival and the moral grey areas of those who lived in the shadow of absolute evil. It captures the visceral fear of the unknown and the resilience of women forced into an impossible situation, offering a unique perspective on the final years of the Third Reich. Through its claustrophobic setting and tense atmosphere, the film explores how ordinary individuals become part of a monstrous machine and the desperate choices they make to see another dawn.
