Synopsis

Set during the Great Depression in 1933 Oregon, widower and World War I veteran Samuel Murphy is wrongfully imprisoned, separating him from his young daughter Penny. Seeking a way to secure his early release before his daughter becomes a ward of the state, Murphy accepts a high-stakes deal from labor camp Warden Clancy. Joined by a ragtag crew of fellow convicts and an Indigenous woman named Anna, Murphy embarks on a treacherous six-day trek through wilderness terrain to smuggle a heavy stash of gold bricks out of a closing mining camp. As deadly terrain, ambush threats, and internal betrayal endanger the group, Murphy realizes the warden and corrupt guards plan to eliminate them upon arrival. Facing insurmountable odds, Murphy uses his wits and grit to survive the perilous trek, bring down the corrupt orchestrators, and reunite with his daughter.
