Time Hoppers: The Silk Road

Synopsis

In the year 2050, the prestigious Aqli Academy in Vancouver welcomes its newest student, 12-year-old Layla. Alongside her cousin Khalid and new friends Aysha and Abdullah, she is recruited for a secret project involving time-travel drones. However, a laboratory accident thrusts the four children back to 825 Baghdad, the heart of the Golden Age of Islam. There, they inadvertently cross paths with Fasid, a disgruntled alchemist who steals their time-travel technology and vows to erase the history of science. Now known as the Time Hoppers, the children must embark on a high-stakes adventure across the historic Silk Road. From the House of Wisdom to the observatories of Aleppo, they race to protect legendary scholars like Al-Khwarizmi and Ibn Al-Haytham from Fasid’s sabotage. Blending educational history with vibrant 3D animation, the film follows the young heroes as they discover that teamwork and courage are the ultimate tools for preserving the foundations of the modern world.
