Synopsis
At a prestigious sports boarding school, Camille is a talented young boxer whose life is defined by the discipline of the ring and the camaraderie of his teammates. After narrowly surviving a life-threatening accident thanks to his best friend Matteo, Camille makes a physical recovery that seems miraculous. However, a mysterious, inexplicable pain begins to gnaw at him, threatening his athletic future and his standing within the hyper-masculine social hierarchy of the school. As his confidence crumbles, the pack mentality of his peers turns predatory, forcing Camille to reassess his identity beyond his prowess as a fighter. Valery Carnoy's debut feature is a poignant and sensitive exploration of adolescent vulnerability, male friendship, and the immense pressure to maintain a facade of strength. Camille soon realizes that his most significant battle isn't against an opponent in the ring, but within himself as he navigates the fragile transition into adulthood.
